The WRO® Future Engineers is specifically designed for older students. This innovative category aims to incorporate real-world problem-solving and engineering workflows into schools. Teams are encouraged to utilize any robot, controller, and materials within the regulations.​
The game is refreshed every 3 or 4 years, and the current challenge revolves around autonomous driving. Participants are tasked with developing a steering drive robot capable of autonomously navigating a track. To foster continuous growth, minor changes are introduced annually, motivating students to further enhance their robot designs.
